Astragalus Root


Astragalus has over 30,000 known different variations. This plant is specific to regions in China and other Asian countries and prefers mountainous, sloping regions with lots of sun. Astragalus is part of the pea or legume family. Each plant takes about 4-5 years until the roots are ready for harvest.
Astragalus was, and still is, utilized in Chinese medicine to support a healthy immune system, vitality and "upright Qi". Most people drink Astragalus as a decoction to get the benefits from this herb.
